The redesigned 2019 KIA Forte comes with the model’s usual reputation for value and reliability, but the challenge turns out to be convincing people that it offers so much more than that. 2019 KIA Forte Details
Value is all well and good, but the 2019 KIA Forte has other strengths that shouldn’t be overlooked. The CVT, for one; it’s set up to respond more like a conventional automatic transmission, and offers better steering feel.
Speaking of feel, there are some great features that lead to a car that handles sportier than it has any right to. These include MacPherson front struts, electronic steering assist, variable drive modes, and a re-tooled engine that now uses the Atkinson Cycle.
The biggest surprise here is the style; the KIA Forte retains much of its past form and creature comforts. But it is restyled with a number of cues borrowed from the flagship KIA Stinger, so there are sporty looks to match the surprisingly agile ride.
2019 KIA Forte Safety and Special Features
The IIHS and NHTSA haven’t yet reviewed the redesigned KIA Forte. With that said, this is likely the safest version of the car yet, thanks to a suite of active safety technology called Drive Wise, which includes lane-keep assist, forward collision avoidance, lane departure warning, and driver attention warning. Other features, like rear cross-traffic alert and smart cruise control, come in the XE and new Launch Edition trim.
Other tech includes an optional Harman-Kardon audio system with Clari-Fi for music files, navigation, wireless charging, and a number of other appearance and luxury features — too many to list here, so ask your KIA dealer for details!
