The 2019 KIA Sedona loses the SX Limited trim this year. By way of recompense, the remaining four trims (L, LX, EX, and SX) gain a mild facelift and some new features this year. These include an eight-speed automatic transmission, LED headlights, pushbutton power-sliding doors, rear-seat touchscreens, and available wireless charging.

The powertrain (with its class-leading warranty) is strong and capable. And while space lags behind a couple of competitors, it’s still plenty useful; with both rows of seats folded down, you get a maximum 142 cubic feet of storage space.

2019 KIA Sedona Safety and Special Features

The 2019 KIA Sedona earns a five-star NHTSA safety rating. That’s due to strong construction, but there are also plenty of other safety features playing their part. This year sees the addition of optional Driver Attention Warning to the SX trim, which warns against tired or distracted driving. That’s also the only trim on which you can get automatic emergency braking, surround-view monitor, adaptive cruise control, and more.

As with any new KIA vehicle, going further up the trim hierarchy has some fun benefits, too. Not only will you get Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™, but you can also get an updated version of the UVO infotainment system, multi-zone climate control, power sunroof, a power liftgate, leather seats, and more.
