2017 Kia Sportage Turns Heads with Classy Redesign

The next version of the Kia Sportage sounds spectacular — with a design overhaul, the CUV looks to impress and redefine this genre of cars. The 2017 Kia Sportage debuted at the Los Angeles Show and our Waukegan Kia dealership just started featuring it.

This fourth-generation Kia Sportage features a vastly improved exterior over its predecessors. Not only it turns heads with a better, more sophisticated look, but by using premium materials, the CUV has a sturdier structure and roomier interior. Smooth curves and sharp accents contrast on the outside, granting the car a signature look. In addition, it has a slew of great technological features that no Kia car has had before, a turbocharged engine, and advanced driver assistance capabilities.

The new 2017 Kia Sportage offers a much smoother ride with its redesigned, fully independent front suspension. This results in better stability and easier handling. Whether it’s the front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, the Kia Sportage benefits from this new system. As for the engine, the EX and LX trims utilize a 2.4-liter engine that outputs 181 horsepower and and 175 lb-ft of torque, while the SX Turbo sports a hard-charging 2.0-liter inline-four turbo engine that achieves 240 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft of torque.

On the inside, expect a 5, 7, or 8 inch infotainment touchscreen (dependent on trim level), featuring Bluetooth® and SiriuxXM® satellite radio. Options include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and the 2017 Kia Sportage is the first Kia car to include the latest version of the company’s eService system, UVO3.
