The Redesigned 2016 Kia Sorento is Now at Classic Kia

Families in the Gurnee area no longer have to wait, because the 2016 Kia Sorento is now available at Classic Kia in Waukegan. This crossover SUV has been fully redesigned this year for a new vehicle generation. Everything from performance to the interior space has been upgraded and improved.

The 2016 Kia Sorento fills the space between compact and midsize crossover classes. It’s great for people who need a little more room for people and cargo, but want a vehicle a little more maneuverable. The 2016 Kia Sorento comes in either five or seven passenger configurations depending on your transportation needs.

As far as performance goes, the 2016 Kia Sorento has three different options this year. The starting engine is a 2.4L four-cylinder producing 185 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque. You can tow up to 2000 pounds with this engine, but there’s more utility to come! New for this year is a 2.0L turbo four-cylinder upping power to 240 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque that lets you tow up to 3500 pounds. For maximum power, a 3.3L V6 releases 290 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque and can tow up to 5000 pounds with all-wheel drive.

This new model is also built safe for families and has earned top scores of “Good” in all IIHS crash tests. Models come standard with side curtain protection for front and rear passengers, plus additional front side airbags. Models can also be equipped with advanced features like a forward collision warning system, a rearview camera, and a blind-spot warning system.
