For the eleventh year, the Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA), Chicagoland’s new-car dealer association, and its dealer members have partnered with the USO on the annual “BBQ for the Troops program”. In that time, CATA dealers have rallied their communities to help raise more than $1.1 million in support of USO programs and services!

About the USO and BBQ for the Troops fundraising initiative:

“The USO is proud to partner with the Chicago Automobile Trade Association and local new-car dealers for the eleventh year in a row for the BBQ for the Troops initiative,” said USO Executive Director Christopher Schmidt.

“The BBQ for the Troops program has raised more than one million dollars over the past 10 years to support local service members and their families. The support of service members’ hometown communities and local new-car dealerships has allowed the USO to support more than 300,000 service members and their families annually through hundreds of programs and services. Neighbors supporting neighbors through initiatives like BBQ for the Troops makes communities even stronger and joining your local dealership for their BBQ in July is a great way to get involved!
