Kia Optima and Kia Soul Recognized on Edmunds.com List

As summer is entering full gear, we’ve looked at how the 2016 Kia Soul made the “Top 10 Coolest Cars Under $18,000” list from Kelley Blue Book. It’s a car that offers incredible value thanks to a combination of excellent baseline features and an attractive price point. Furthermore, we’re happy to report that two cars from the Kia brand just received praise from experts.

Parents.com partnered with car resource Edmunds.com to round up the Best Family Cars of 2016.

“With high-tech performance, safety, and convenience features available at all price levels, it’s easier than ever to choose a model that’s built for your family’s needs,” the page states.

They named the 2016 Kia Soul the “Best Budget Vehicle,” praising its design and value. The experts enthused over its multimedia features powered by six speakers with dash-mounted tweeters, Bluetooth availability, and a very useful eight-inch navigation touch screen that comes with the Kia Soul+. This subcompact car also surprises with its storage space since it can fold the split rear seats for plenty of extra room.

That’s not all, however. For their “Best Sedan” pick, the websites named the 2016 Kia Optima.

“Who said a family car has to be boring?” they write. “The refreshed Optima is striking inside and out, with sleek lines, pleasing ergonomics, smart controls, and a smooth ride…”

They also praised its baseline rearview camera and remote keyless entry, smart phone integration, and robust UVO eServices. Three engine choices, five different trim levels, and an expansive, comfortable cabin add up to a midsize sedan that challenges boundaries.
