The New 2016 Kia Rio is Available Now at Classic Kia

The 2016 Kia Rio has arrived at Classic Kia! This is the smallest new Kia car we sell at our dealership and the most affordable. The 2016 Kia Rio will be a great choice for younger drivers looking for a first car and anyone looking to cut down on their fuel costs. City drivers, in particular, will also like the small size of this model.

This model is available as a sedan or hatchback with both body styles gaining some improvements over the previous 2015 Kia Rio. The biggest changes are to the styling. A newer grille has been implemented and the taillights in the back have also been updated. Inside the car you’ll find higher quality materials and more insulation has been added to reduce the sounds of the road.

If you value a more luxurious driving experience, a new Designer package improves the look of the car with two-toned color upholstery with classy gray stitches. Lastly, all hatchback models now feature a standard six-speed automatic instead of a manual.

The powertrain for the 2016 Kia Rio is a returning 1.6L four-cylinder engine with an output of 138 hp and 123 lb-ft of torque. These models can get up to 38 mpg while driving on the highway. An automatic stop-start system is available, which provides a boost to city fuel economy.

If you’re at all apprehensive about the size of the car, we can assure you the interior is quite spacious. There is plenty of headroom for taller drivers and an available tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel makes it easier to get into position. The backseat provides enough legroom for adults, and you’ll find up to 15 cubic feet of cargo space (hatchback models). If you don’t need the back row, it folds down to open up a solid 49.8 cubic feet of storage space.
