Today we’re going to celebrate National Tailgating Day with our best pals and some great ideas on how you can reunite with your friends, family, and fellow fans.  we’re bringing you plenty of ways to party with your friends and social bubble and recreate the game-day experience.  Whether you’re celebrating at the stadium or at home in your driveway, we’ve got some great gear and recipes for some good ol’ fashioned tailgating with a healthy dose of modern convenience.

If you’ve never planned a tailgating event before, we’re here to help. Follow our easy guide to coordinate and plan your first get together on game day and make it a great success:

  1. Plan out your guest list and get a headcount.
  2. Read up on stadium policies regarding beverages, food, and cooking procedures.
  3. Shop for your food and purchase extra ice packs for storage.
  4. Divvy up the menu amongst your friends to reduce the workload day-of, and prep as much as you can the night before.
  5. Pack some tailgate friendly games like bean bags, connect four, a football to toss around, etc.
  6. Show up early so you have plenty of time to socialize as well as enjoy apps, meals, and of course a dessert, too! (3 to 4hrs early is common)
  7. Bring plenty of seating, sun shades, and pop-up tables for prep and for eating.
  8. Leave time before game time to clean up your space.
  9. Respect the tailgating events around you, and keep the energy friendly.
